Expanded remit to lead engineering across The Economist Enterprise — Intelligence, Impact, Corporate Network, and Media Solutions products. Leading a 30-person cross-functional engineering organisation, including 13 direct reports and 16 skip-level team members across frontend, backend, QA, and engineering management.

  • Increased portfolio delivery throughput by 3x in six months by implementing an AI-augmented engineering operating model across four squads, improving sprint throughput from 20 to 42 points and moving release cadence from sprint-based delivery to continuous production deployment.
  • Improved Viewpoint Platform uptime from 99.0% to 99.9% and achieved zero P1 incidents for six consecutive months by introducing runbooks, alerting policies, on-call schedules, and incident response practices across New Relic, AWS, GitHub, and Cloudflare.
